I've reinstalled and everything is back to normal.

can you play the movie, starting over the amazon VoD Addon?
The movies plays fine in the Amazon VOD addon. Also, any strm files I have downloaded directly using the Amazon VOD app and added to my movie library play fine. I think it's an Osmosis error (If it is an error). I thought maybe there was a setting in Osmosis that needed changing. I'm going to do a fresh install of Osmosis and try again with new downloads.

you don`t download the movie, osmosis generate a strm file that has the information, where the stream is to find an play it, you must be online
the message tells me nothing
Sorry, I meant to say strm file for the movie. I am online. I've added the strm files to my movie library. They were playing fine a couple of days ago.

OK, spoke too soon.
I downloaded a few movies a couple of days ago from Amazon as a test.
Now when I try and play them, I'm getting this message:
Externer Inhalt imgur.comInhalte von externen Seiten werden ohne Ihre Zustimmung nicht automatisch geladen und angezeigt.Any ideas about why this is occurring? The day I downloaded then they played fine.

Hi,

It was this line :
<regexp>\.png</regexp>
Which was sat in the <excludefromlisting> section.
FYI, here's a copy of my advanced settings file FYI. The error is in line 25

What a great addon!
-
All fine, I already edited my posting
Hiya. My fault. For some reason Kodi wasn't letting me add the current strm directory as a library source. I've moved it to a different directory on the shield. and all seems fine!
Thanks for your help!

Hi,
Is it possible to change where strms are saved?
I have kodi on a Nvidia Shield and the addon has created a folder in the Shield. Ideally I'd like to have a strms folder on my NAS, but I'm not sure if this can be done, and which setting I need to change in the Osmosis config?
-
Then I'm out of ideas.
I have the full list of options available.
Maybe it's your [definition='2','1']advancedsettings[/definition] which excludes stuff from listing. The regexes look fine, so I'm only guessing at this point.
Would be good to know if it's the same on a fresh Kodi install with nothing else set up
After trial and error, It is something in my [definition='2','1']advancedsettings[/definition].xml file causing the problem. If I find out exactly which line, I'll let you know.

OK. done a fresh install of Kodi and Osmosis is working fine. Downloaded a movie from Amazon Vod. Strm working fine.
It must have been something in my original setup.
Thank you for your help!

I've got backups of my current setup, so I'll try a fresh install and see what happens.

Do you already have scraped movies from a NAS or other storage in your database?
Yes, hundreds on my NAS.

Hi,
When I first open Osmosis, after a fresh install I see this:
ImgurDiscover the magic of the internet at Imgur, a community powered entertainment destination. Lift your spirits with funny jokes, trending memes, entertaining…imgur.comWhen I click on OK, I see this:
ImgurDiscover the magic of the internet at Imgur, a community powered entertainment destination. Lift your spirits with funny jokes, trending memes, entertaining…imgur.comIf I click on 'Video Favorites I see this:
ImgurDiscover the magic of the internet at Imgur, a community powered entertainment destination. Lift your spirits with funny jokes, trending memes, entertaining…imgur.comI was expecting be able to set up media sources such as Amazon VOD etc. I thought Osmosis would ask this on first running?
Is there something in 'configure' that I need to set up for media sources?
If it was working correctly for me - if I right clicked on a video file in Amazon VOD or on an existing movie file in my library, I would expect to see a 'create strm' or similar option in the context menu. Osmosis would then create a strm file and save it in a folder
Or have I completely misunderstood?

Hi,
Thanks for all your help.
I've uploaded a [definition='1','0']log[/definition] file here:
Apart from the fuzzywuzzy error there are no more visible error messages. However when I open Osmosis I don't see the options to set up video/music sources etc.
-
Funny, I completely re-set up Kodi Omega a week ago and was able to install osmosis without any error messages.
U can find the addon fuzzywussy on github
I've tried doing that, but Kodi won't install from the zip file. Very frustrating.
-
Install the addon from repo.kodinerds.net
Thank you for your reply.
I've installed this repository, however, when I install Osmosis, I'm getting a message that 'script.module.fuzzywussy' is not available. Not sure what this addon is.
-
Working on nexus = yes
On Omega beta2 = yes
Thanks for your quick reply.
I've downloaded the zip file from here:
GitHub - Maven85/plugin.video.osmosis: Kodi add-on to add streams to libraryKodi add-on to add streams to library. Contribute to Maven85/plugin.video.osmosis development by creating an account on GitHub.github.comFile name: plugin.video.osmosis-master.zip
But when I try and install, I get this error:
"dependency on xmbc.python version 2.26.0 could not be satisfied"
So I presume this is compatibility problem with Nexus 20.2
Is there another version available that is compatible?
Thank you
-
Hello,
Just wondering if the Osmosis Kodi addon works in Nexus?
