Do you live in Austria? otherwise you need a VPN client, which should be the same for Firetv and Mac
I live in Austria, but spend a lot of time in the US for work. I watch Austrian TV on Zappn TV when I'm away from Austria. I use the same VPN on both my Fire Stick and Mac. I believe my setup on both is the same.

I am using the Zappn TV add-on (Version 1.3.5+matrix.1) for Kodi Nexus 20.1 on my Fire Stick. It works great, thank you!! I am able to watch Austrian TV Live!!
Here is my problem...
I have copied my Kodi setup to my MacBook and everything is working perfect. When I try to use the Zappn TV add-on, I get "ERROR GETTING URL" <urlopen error [Errno 61] Connection refused>
