Please help me with Firestick 4K older Omega beta version.
I have a big problem with all (including latest) Omega beta3 version on my Firestick 4K.
Since it worked perfect, for me, on older Omega beta2 version, I tried to revert to it.
But the problem is that oldest version in Archive (202402090632) is still bet3 version which does not help with my problems.
Can someone, please, point me to the latest "net.kodinerds.maven.kodi21.firetv.armeabi-v7a BTEA2" version for download.
Hello, is there perhaps instructions for the Maven's build somewhere? I installed the current FireTV APK on the new Fire Stick 4K Max. to watch MKV's in DV, but I only have a red/purple still image.
New Maven's builds include code from quietvoid. To select either HDR or DV; here are the instructions from his forum thread :
" Added setting to choose between HDR10, HDR10+ or Dolby Vision playback.
Commit: https://github.com/quietvoid/xbmc/commit...cf747fae5d
The change adds a setting under the Videos/Processing section, where users can choose which HDR type should be allowed.
By default, the video bitstream is kept intact, so all metadata is kept
If you don't want HDR10+, uncheck HDR10+
If you don't want Dolby Vision, uncheck it."
So, if you want DV then in System Settings/Player/Videos/
first -> enable "Use display HDR capabilities"
second -> in Allowed dynamic HDR formats -> disable HDR10+ and enable Dolby Vision.
How about adding a “better” splash image when you get the chance (yours looks so “frayed”)
You can change it yourself; download that "splash.jpg" (1920 X 1080), convert it to "splash. png " and copy it to:
/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/net.kodinerds.maven.kodi21/files/.kodi/media/splash.png
Restart Kodi without being frightened
I have been using Maven's builds for about a year and am very satisfied. Thank you!
My Fire TV 4K Max still has problems with some MKV files. If DV and HDR10+ are present in a file at the same time, Fire TV will show a black screen. quietvoid solved this problem ( https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=371557 ). Commit: https://github.com/quietvoid/xbmc…a6017cf747fae5d
But it will be a long time before his fix finds its way into Kodi upstream.
Would it be possible to integrate this fix (the mentioned commit) into Maven's builds? That would be really great. Thanks!
Not in the near future I'm afraid.., not before it's merged in Kodi 21 nightlies I presume. That's the reason why I'm using both, Maven's and quietvoid's builds on my Firestick 4K.
Hi all
does anybody know how to collect debug logs on Firestick 4K running Mavens Kodi 20.1? I have no problems getting debug logs an my other Amlogic boxes running on Mavens builds which I prefer to all others.
If you have time can you take a look at my HBO Max addon issue here, if it maybe has something to do with your Kodi 20.1 build, or it's just related to that addon? The screenshot were all from your latest Kodi 20.1 for Firestick build.
but that does not solve the problem. i have no more jerks but no passthrough.
I mentioned that it works on FS 4K, don't know about Shield...
Do you have "Passthrough" option in Audio settings while playing a Video? On my FS 4K Passthrough is always on, even if I disable it in this setting.
Habe das neue Build seit ein paar Tagen auf meiner Shield pro am laufen. Alles funktioniert super.
Nur bei Audio passthrough hab ich öfters mal Ruckler.
Kann man dagegen was machen?
Try this work around, which works on many Firestick 4K: Set "Output configuration" to Fixed. This will remove Passthrough options, but Passthrough will still work as if it's selected & enabled. This usually removes most stuttering...
Sorry for my initial post, all is in fact working, all "Audio Passthrough" options are working! My big mistake.
First I Installed Android version => all OK
Then restored my FireTV settings => NO Audio Passthrough options!
Looked carefully at my Audio settings and noticed that my "Output configuration" is (somehow?) set to "Fixed" instead of "Optimized" which I always use. Changed that settings to Optimized brought back all Audio Passthrough settings.
Thx for your help, and sorry for my initial wrong conclusion.
I installed suggested version on my (Odroid N2) Android box, and like all previous versions it has all "Audio Passthrough" options.
On my Firestick 4K I install only FireTV versions. Installed now the latest 202209122212 version, and also there is none "Audio Passthrough" option that can be selected, as with yesterday version...
Are you suggesting that I install latest Android version on my Firestick 4K for testing?
Hi. I just updated my Firestick 4k from " Maven's Kodi Build for FireTV 20220908 (Nexus Alpha2) " to " Maven's Kodi Build for FireTV 20220911 (Nexus Alpha3)".
Noticed that all "Audio Passthrough" options are missing
On my Android box "Maven's Kodi-Build für Android 20220909 (Nexus Alpha3) all "Audio Passthrough" options are present...
One title is wrong,
That's the only thing I was pointing out, nothing else...
no. 2 / 2
I am talking about Buld's TITLES:
1. Maven's Kodi-Builds für Android - 77.96 MB
2. Maven's Kodi-Builds für Android - 78.93 MB
3. Maven's Kodi-Builds für Android - 78.93 MB
4. Maven's Kodi-Builds für FireTV - 77.95 MB

So, it's 3 / 1, isn't it?
Maven's Kodi-Builds für FireTV
There are 3 build titles for Android and only one for FireTV ??
Hi, just to mention, how it is displayed on my Win10/Firefox system:
In Kodinerds Addon Repo there are 3 files for Maven's Kodi-Builds für Android and only one for Maven's Kodi-Builds für FireTV. Although third file marked as Maven's Kodi-Builds für Android is actually for FireTV. (net.kodinerds.maven.kodi20.firetv.armeabi-v7a-202205202213-ccb2cc8f-Nexus.apk)...
