For anyone having problems with there skin when updating to beta2 just go into the skin's addon.xml and change the xbmc gui from whatever version it was previously to 5.17.0 for example xbmc.gui version=4.18.0 change that to 5.17.0 (xbmc.gui version=5.17.0) and thats it the skin will be read/used and it won't be disabled when starting up Kodi for the first time when installing beta2

Maven definitely didn't change anything when clicking on check for updates its still stuck notifications are still stuck i have a pvr client and when loading the channels on startup its still stuck.
So "PR" in terms of "PROJECT REPOSITORY" or "PULL REQUESTS" and is this "MERGED" into your builds specifically, same with the fitsch sound and video stutter/sync fix. There different builds it can take months before its universal depending on how much feedback and problematic things were before the fix

How about adding a “better” splash image when you get the chance (yours looks so “frayed”)
I think that may have been intentional due to it moving from alpha to the beta stage now (due to the static look to looking like its clearing up) "evolving" to a new level I might suppose. But I could be absolutely wrong.

Maven is there any way that you would implement the smartredraw progress loading fix or fix in general like on Nexus smartredraw is a game changer it really works makes things much better and definitely speeds up the UI you can feel the difference just asking brother because it was supposed to get ported but I dont think it did

Player007 no it would mean your tv doesn't support dv which in this case its not that case that Sony tv does but that tv is known for dv problems probably the poorly implementation on how the chip processes dv. your only option is normal hdr or hdr10+ until maybe a software update or try a power cycle if you haven't already

Maven Im guessing just your latest builds, playlist are empty and favorites are empty (in shortcuts for submenus) your older builds didn't introduce that bug. But overall your builds are amazing, the whole package what more could you want/ask for 🤣. Its just that bug ill see if there are anymore and bring them to the forefront as always amazing work brother.

Maven i think its a bug in Omega 21 with favorites being blank in skin.shortcuts (not showing any favorites) even tho I have more then 10 in the favorites home menu. on Nexus there is no such problem and the problem doesn't exist in the mq9 skin probably because that skin still uses the script.favorites addon to read the favorites.xml or favorites in general i guess

I know it's an annoying topic and I've read several pages... but something different always comes out...
In advance:
I use Maven Kodi and have a Shield Pro. Plus a 77 C2 OLED. PC, Shield and PS5 are connected to the Denon X4800H.
What do I have to set in the Shield and in Kodi so that only the LG upscales everything to 4k?
In Kodi I have 4K and 1080s whitelisted, right?
Films are available on the PC in different resolutions.
Netflix etc. are unimportant because I use them directly from the LG.

Flexatainment Leave the shield @ 4K60/50 depending on region and don't whitelist any resolutions and everything you playback will be passed through from the Shield to your tv "untouched" and "upscaled" (using your tv) if not native to your tv's resolution . Take note that you will lose the match refresh rate feature of Kodi (because whitelisting will no longer be active) everything will be played back @ 4K60/50

Everything that is active in the whitelist is pushed passthrough to the TV.
don Actually Its just passed down and played back natively always using Kodi your tv is just displaying the content @ all times. But for clarity reasons If your tv is 4K and you have 1080p whitelisted and you play something on Kodi that's 1080p Kodi will pass/play that file/stream back @ 1080p natively. And your tv will say "1080p". on the other hand Now if you don't have 1080p whitelisted and nothing else as well and playback 1080p, now that is passed through to your tv directly (untouched) and you will see the native tv res ie. "4K50/60" @ the top right or left corner of your tv letting you know that, that 1080p file/stream is being played back natively, to the tv's native res and "Kodi" not doing anything else. ( but playing it back pushing it to the tv, not scaling it, but your tv will have control of scaling at this level) lastly if you do have your tv's native res whitelisted eg. "4K" and you decide to play back 1080p, 1080p not being whitelisted now "Kodi" will find the next best resolution whitelisted after which so happens to be 4K from the "whitelist" that's when "Kodi" will then upscale that 1080p to 4K and push it to your tv. And you will definitely notice the difference.

Maven it maybe a bug or something has changed in favorites, because it's blank when trying to add your favorites to the submenu in shortcuts

Maven menu loading is a bit slow as well (it may be the skin tho) and thumbnails keep regenerating for some reason

Maven you are the man brother working perfectly i really appreciate it and you thanks for your effort and time. With this build its very smooth its just that the favorites.xml crashes Kodi when moving its position and the icon changes to the top most icon thats already already there. Example (if the icon is tmdb of the top most favorite and I add a amazon favorite icon and I move the amazon fav up or downward leading to the top, the amazon icon immediately changes to the tmdb icon) if that makes any sense.

Maven thank you brother i very much appreciated you for your effort, maybe the new libbluray version comes with new features and/ or improvements/updated code. The only weird thing is that it still works in Kodi 20 🤔. In short Update ive tried the latest build September 8 still a no go (Bluray Menu) but again a great fan of your work. Even the Kodi binary has changed in the latest builds. The addon inputstream adaptive cannot be satisfied when installing. on the build that im using (7/28/23) again to be exact. Im pretty sure you'll fix any as usual as long as reported

Maven im actually still on the 7/28 build and haven't updated to your newer builds because of it I have alot of full br disc's so thats why its sore of a patients game and a reason to not update

Maven since after the 7/28/2023 build, all builds after whether 32bit or 64bit the menus do not work anymore its as if it was removed

Gizzmo maybe it will change in the future because I love the bluray menu gives the full disc experience and Maven, his work is amazing his versions of Kodi just keep improving i hope he ports the "smartredraw" feature as well with the fixes for the notification toasts really speeds up Kodi and you can feel it very noticeable
