Hello,
as many other beginners I'm not quiet experianced in kodi and Raspberry but I have a small thing to do and need help.
I have a Raspberry PI 4 fully configured and running, can install Apache if necessary.
Already installed is Kodi, running, I can start and stop Video's at the Raspberry console.
The Raspberry is inside my home network and I can start a Video with a client computer - but it appers at the Client screen -> thats not the request.
So what I want to do is start a specific Video out of the local Raspberry file system by a http instruction -> without a password as the system is not accessible from outside.
Example:
I send
"http://192.168.178.15:8080/Videos/1.mpeg"
or
"http://192.168.178.15/value?video=1"
and the Video starts at the Raspberry screen.
I'm sure there is a instruction somewhere available, I'm not the 1st one to do that but I can't find it.
Who can help me????
