Also, there are several merges to the master branch on the official Kodi GitHub repo about this issue, and commits reference "forums findings".

Unfortunately though, these fixes will likely take forever to make it into a "usable" official Kodi version (not a nightly Omega build). In my opinion, backporting the fixes into the Nexus custom build here would be very valuable and preferable over using a v21 nightly/custom build. And I think this because using v21 this early can be very problematic for e.g. addons and skins. Some will simply not work. Also the fixes

I hope these words spark some interest to this topic.

Not if you want to use a Maven build of an official Kodi release, no. The quoted Kodi forum thread did say that the fix will be back-ported to the Kodi Nexus nightly builds, so the latest Nexus build by Maven based on those should include the fix, soon if not already. It seems the fix will be in the next official Kodi Nexus release. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong :).

Is there a 64-bit FireTV available now, or has the latest arm64-v8a Nexus build been mislabelled as "für FireTV" instead of "für Android"?

Hi @Maven, beim Download über die neue Version (1.1.2+Matrix.1) des Kodinerds APK-Downloader Scripts erhaltn ich bei der Konfiguration LineageOS (Raspberry Pi 400 mit Android 12) in Verbindung mit Kodi 20 (final) eine Fehlermeldung. Sobald ich einen Download im Kodi starte bricht dieser ab. Anbei das [definition=9,2][definition=9,3]Kodi.[definition='1','0']log[/definition][/definition][/definition] dazu.

Möchte mich auch für die neue Version des Downloaders bedanken...Maven ...es hatte alles geklappt mit den Update auf das neue Kodinerds Nexus Build und das Kodinerds Omega Build von Heute.

@cat_person48 im on Omega and have no problems with addons at all and using the same skin as long as its python3 that the addons are using, its the standard now I dont see a problem using omega in my opinion omega runs faster then Nexus when comparing side by side

How do you start the update? I just get to see the downloaded file in the file explorer. When I start that, it installs a parallel version instead of updating. Even if I say 'install' in the add-on, it just opens de file explorer.

will a fix for smartredraw be back ported to omega because with smartredraw everything is smoother, navigation clicks and even video playback and opening and closing the video OSD its a game changer

The fix was actually backported into Nexus much faster than I feared it would. It's already in the latest nightlies, hence it's already in Maven builds as well.

Hat jemand eine Idee wieso der Maven Kodi 20 Build vom 16.1.23 keine MAC Adresse in den Systeminformation auf der Shield anzeigt? Die Vanilla Kodi 20 tut es. Damit funktioniert bei einigen Plugins die Device-ID Ermittlung nicht.

Hallo zusammen, ich teste jetzt gerade das Maven Build für Nexus und alles funktioniert soweit richtig gut, nur habe ich das Problem das ich Kodi ca. 3 mal starten muss bevor es funktioniert. Weiß wer was das sein kann und wie ich das beheben kann? Danke schonmal. System ist Shield TV Pro 2019.

Wurde das schon gemacht bei der Kodi 20 Nexus Version?

Shield --> Einstellungen --> Apps --> Kodi(nerds) --> Berechtigungen --> Zusätzliche Berechtigungen --> Dateien und Medien --> App-Berechtigungen auf "Immer zulassen" mit zulassen quittieren

Habe das Problem nicht... das man Kodi 20 Nexus ca. 3 mal starten muß... bevor es dann funktioniert....das klappt bei mir schon beim ersten mal.
