Hi, Is the aspect ratio still a issue when playing DV content with matrix and nexus?
Apparantly up to April 2022 Nexus was ok but I updated since and DV still a problem and I cannot download old versions of nexus or matrix, so cannot watch DV correctly.Thanks

BTW is Maven taking a vacation we haven't seen any updates for a while?

Afaik nein, deswegen fragt er ja hier. In der Hoffnung dass Maven was kitten kann. Aber CE oder LE ist nicht gleich Kodi. Das ist vermutlich dem Kollegen noch nicht klar. Ne Apk bauen ist was anderes wie nen ganzes OS.

Hi, thanks. Yeah, I've narrowed it down to the files I was playing, either badly encoded or something else. I got a different version of the DV file, this it played with the aspect ratio correct/no cropping, but could not pause/rewind/forward or continue play, it has to start again. Other DV files I have dont do that, so its got to be the encoding or decoding issues. HDR10 files play fine.

Hoffe mal nicht...bei mir schaut es so aus im Kodinerds 20 Nexus Dateimanager...wobei...wenn man UHD 4K plus HDR... oder Dolby Vision mit den Amazon VOD Addon erreichen möchte...dann sollten diese Dateien vohanden sein..siehe ab screenshot7.
It was a problem with the permissions. I had to change from 'Allow only while using the app' to 'Allow all the time' to make the File Manager work properly. Not sure if bug in Kodi or Android..

Hardware: Nvidia Shield TV Pro 2019
Diese Einstellung hatte man gleich nach den Nvidia Update 9.0 Android 11 vollzogen.
Aber vielleicht wirkt diese Kodinerds Einstellung dort auch mit rein.
Ich hatte die naive Vorstellung, mit meinem Sony X90J und Denon X1700H über die Kodi Maven App 4k DV MKV Dateien schauen zu können mit Hilfe von E-Arc. Kriege aber nur DTS vernünftig hin, DTS-HD führt zu extrem abgehackter Audiowiedergabe und Dolby HD wird erst gar nicht durchgeleitet. Ist das normal?
Habe gelesen dass E-Arc vor allem für extern angeschlossene Quellen ausgelegt ist und man daher mit internen Wiedergabeprogrammen nicht viel erwarten soll. Kommt mir nur etwas dumm vor, nochmal 200€ für ein Nvidia Shield Pro TV auszugeben, wenn die grundlegenden Funktionen zur DV MKV Wiedergabe schon alle am Fernseher vorhanden sind.
Abgesehen von DV und DTS ist eine Nvidia Shield ein ganz anderes Benutzer Erlebnis als jeder TV mit Android TV in Sachen Performance. Warum die in High end TVs nicht endlich mal genug Power einbauen bleibt ein Rätsel. Wenn ich keine shield hätte, dann wäre ich mit meiner Philips OLED Gurke auch angeschmiert...
Meine Shield Pro ist seit paar Tagen Geschichte.
Seit Android 11,lief das ganze nicht mehr so Rund.
Hatte Bild Hänger manchmal ,und Ton Aussetzer mit meinen AVR.Diese Probleme sind schon lange bekannt,und das hat mich dazu gebracht das ich die Shield pro verkaufe.
Nun habe ich einen anderen mediaplayer mit nativen Player und das ist der Zidoo Z9X. Damit sind meine Probleme die ich mit nvidia Shield Pro hatte beseitigt.
Verstehe ich jetzt nicht... Hattest du nicht auch ein downgrade gemacht?
Aber naja , schön das bei dir jetzt alles gut läuft.
Natürlich gibt es auch andere gute Geräte.

Ein Downgrade auf 8.2.3 hat mich auch nicht 100% Zufrieden gestellt leider.
Muss schon sagen,der Zidoo macht Top Bild,was auch nativen Player hat.
Streaming Dienste,waren mir nicht so wichtig,eher das Material was Abgespielt wird.
Apps usw. Kann ich auch mit meinen TV nutzen.

I have the same problem - it is not possible to continue previously started DV file.
