Soap opera effect when viewing certain scenes

    Hi there,
    Not sure if this is the best place to post this, but I am trying to track down a weird effect I am seeing on my LG OLED TV while using Kodi via an nVidia Shield to play 24fps films.
    - I have turned off all motion interpolation in my TV settings.
    - I have Kodi set to set the TV refresh rate to match the source material
    - I have whitelisted the resolutions and refresh rates in Kodi

    Even so, I notice in some scenes there still appears to be a soap opera effect. This is happening mostly in darker scenes, which is odd.
    Has anyone else experienced this?

    The Soap-effect doesn't come from Kodi.

    You could check the dithering setting, as that would be my last restort in that matter.

    If that's set to the standard value of "2", then all is correct on the Kodi side of things.

    I would double and tripple check your settings at the TV. There might also be some hidden setting or settings which do depend on the HDMI input.
