Shield TV 2019 Firmware Update und Hotfixe

Konntet ihr bisher etwas positives oder negatives feststellen nach diesen neuen Hotfix?

Habe mit diesen Hotfix heute morgen updatet.

The fifth 8.2+ HotFix image will deploy on 11/5/2020 based on the public image and contains the following fixes:
The fourth 8.2+ HotFix image deployed on 10/12/2020.
The third 8.2+ HotFix impage deployed on 9/29/2020.
The second 8.2+ HotFix impage deployed on 9/19/2020.
The first 8.2+ HotFix image deployed on 9/13/2020.

First HotFix (32.8.435.3 deployed 9/12/2020) :

• Fixes an issue where Live TV app is not working & throwing error “cannot play audio please try another tv”
• Increased threshold for 60fps content to 61 to avoid “Ai upscaling for 60fps” on/off
• Fixes a random issue where "Send long press menu to App" didn't work in Kodi
• Fixes an issue where sometimes android volume is triggered when adjusting volume through IR volume control
• Fixes an issue of Volume adjustment pop up message appears when paying AAC 5.1 movie in Kodi
• Fixes an issue when both IR and Android volume works when talkback is ON
• Fixes an issue of IR power off/on commands don't work with Alexa turn off SHIELD commands
• Fixes an issue with Netflix where Atmos is not available while audio set to BT Headset and toggle back to HDMI
• Fixes an issue where audible sound in the launcher is extremely low with DAC compared to HDMI
• Adds projector IR codes
• Fixes an issue where new IR codes added in 8.2 were not available

Second HotFix (32.8.435.5 deployed on 9/19/2020):

• Resolves issue with AI Upscaling reports 'unsupported content' on Tivimate and apps which scale video
• Allows SMBv3 usernames to have spaces and special characters

Third HotFix (32.8.435.8 deployed on 9/29/2020):

• Fix for AI Upscaling reporting mismatched color format Y16
• Fail to send larger than 2GB files over SMB in some cases
• Background layer stays on while exiting Network Storage to Android Home
• Sleep Timers not working properly in Canadian English and Au/Nz English
• Ignore accessory battery level while taking OTA
• Volume change UI pops up while playing AAC5.1 content
• Lost audio on SHIELD needs reboot to recover

Fourth HotFix (32.8.435.17 deployed on 10/12/2020):

• SMB server: Display a prompt while changing username with non allowed characters
• Fix for AI Upscaling issue with overscan compensation
• Can’t access previously mapped HDDs connected to a PC each time PC wakes up
• Adjust framerate threshold for 30fps AI Upscaling
• Blank/Freeze screen on device while launching HDR game in Gamestream
• Cast is not working sometimes on SHIELD 2019
• Fix for Disney+ video Hamilton, will play with black screen after change overscan settings
• Fix for BT disconnecting when playing GFN and streaming audio to controller

Fifth HotFix (32.8.435.31) deployed on 11/5/2020:

• Upscaling leaves a line of corruption in Prime Video
• Optoma Projector support for IR setup
• Fix for Unable to setup volume control with 2017 SHIELD TV Remote
• Youtube crashes in BFGD
• 4K content causing corruption at the bottom of screen wo AI upscaling (Handmaiden on Amazon Prime Videos for example)
• Audio loss needs reboot to recover
• When network share's user and device names are changed together, username does not change
• Resolves issue with internal storage space filling up with Transfer files over network enabled.

Caveats of the HotFix process:

1. There is no way to roll back from the HotFix.
2. The HotFix is per major release build. If you sign up for this HotFix, you will receive all updates to it until the next major release and that's it. If you want to partake in future HotFixes, you'll need to join them as they appear.
3. There is no way to leave the HotFix process once you join it but you can ignore updates to the HotFix images if you don't want to install them.
4. When the next major release drops, you will get it like usual.
5. HotFix images are not Google certified. The next official release will have all certifications. The negative side affect we've noticed from this so far are listed below and others may appear as time goes on: a. You won't be able to install or update Disney+ from the Playstore if you haven't installed it yet or do a Factory reset on this image. b. HD Homerun DRM channels will not work.

This thread is not for asking questions like the following and any questions like this will be deleted.:
1. Why isn't xyz included in this hotfix.
2. When will this be released as an official release.

Hier nochmal der gesamte Überblick der 8.2+ Hotfixe.

Ja...Widevine L1...funktioniert dann noch...sonst wären wohl keine Filme/Serien in 4K plus HDR10 ...oder 4K plus Dolby Vision/Atmos unter Amazon/Netflix/Disney+ abspielbar.

Es gibt noch nichts mir bekanntes/brauchbares in der Richtung...nur eine inoffizielle Build Version von LineageOS 17.1 auf Basis von Android 10.

Du bekommst den Hotfix als Update automatisch auf die Nvidia Shield TV ... wenn du deine Seriennummer dort auf der Seite zuvor eingetragen hattest.

Läuft bei unser einer bisher stabil...debutanker und konnte noch nichts negatives festellen.

Die Shield meldet sich dann schon mit den Update...könnte nach der Anmeldung so 1 - 4 Tage dauern.
