Prismcube Firmware Update

MartinBr: habe daraus ein eigenes Thema gemacht da es mit dem anderem Skin Thema in dem du geposted hattest absolut nichts zu tun hatte.

Hi, wegen Firmware:

Hast Du die 1.1.12 von dort genommen?

Es gibt nur die eine FirmwareLinie im Moment , der Prismcube gibt sich im Netzwerk als ELMO aus, keine Ahnung warum, aber das passt.

Die Zip Datei einfach auf dem PC entpacken,
dann den darin enthaltenen ruby_update Ordner ins Hauptverzeichniss eines Sticks kopieren ( mit fat32 formatiert), bei Laufender Box USB Stick rein, Box ausschalten, Netzkabel entfernen, dann Netzkabel wieder rein, und dann müsste es eigentlich automatisch starten.
Hast Du das so gemacht?

Wozu? Nach dem Start auf dem Display erscheint Update... und wenn auf dem Display "Remove me" erscheint, usb Stick raus und die Box wird selbst neu gestartet. "ruby_update" Ordner muss man dann entfernen, wenn man usb Stick weiter mit der Box verwenden will, sonst bei jedem Start, wird die Box neu upgedatet.

ELMO ist einfach die Bezeichnung, die Marusys für die Hardware des Prismcube Ruby gewählt hat, also ein Name und sonst nichts. Ob ELMO irgendeine sinnvolle Abkürzung sein könnte, weiß ich nicht.
