Was ist Jamendo?
Jamendoist laut eigener Aussage "die größte Plattform für freie Musik". Jamendo bietet > 350.000 Songs. Allerdings werdet ihr dort selten Songs aus den Charts finden. Alle dort vorhandene Music steht unter einer CC-Lizenz - sie darf also explizit verbreitet und für nicht kommerzielle Zwecke benutzt werden. Ich muss gestehen, dass ich vor dem Contest noch nie etwas von Jamendo gehört habe. Muss aber wirklich sagen, dass ich mittlerweile schon fast ein Fan geworden bin - da ist wirklich Klasse Musik dabei!

Was ist der Jamendo APP-CONTEST?
Jamendo hat im Zuge der Vorstelleung der neuen "V3 API" einen Contest gestartet bei dem es darum geht, die "Innovativste App" zu entwickeln. Dabei sind alle Arten von APPs erlaubt: iPhone, Android, Browser Plugins, VLC und sogar explizit XBMC-Add-ons (Na wenn das mal keine Einladung für mich war ;))
Es gibt sogar zwei Preise:

Download
- Downlod single Songs
- Download complete Albums
- Once downloaded Songs will be played automatically local (no matter if song was downloaded single or its album)
- Covers will also be downloaded and saved next to the audio files so that XBMC can import those to its music database
- Choose the download Format you like: MP3 (VBR good Quality), OGG or even the lossless format FLAC


Mixtapes
- You can manage your own local Mixtapes (similar to playlists)
- You can create as much Mixtapes and add as much Songs to each as you like
- Just open the context menu on any Song to add or delete this Song to any existing mixtape or to add it to a new mixtape


Radio
- Listen to one of ten Jemando created Radio Streams (Electronic, Rock, Jazz, Jamendo Best of, ...)


Playback History
- Every Song you play will be added to your Playback History


Read Data from your Jamendo.com User-Account
After you entered your Jamendo.com Username you can access:
    - Artists you are fan of
    - Albums in your "My Albums"-list
    - Songs you like, favourited or wrote an review
    - Your public Playlists


Technical Features
- API-Request Cache, most API-Requests are cached for 24 hours to improve the plugin response time
- XBMC-Skin Image integration. This add-on uses multiple XBMC-Skin provided Images to automatically match your choosen XBMC-Skin's look.


Settings
- Set items-per-Page (max 100)
- Choose the Audio Format. Playback: MP3, OGG. Download: MP3, OGG, FLAC
- Set Cover Size (Big, Medium, Small)
- Enable Thumbnail-View forcing. If enabled the plugin will automatically switch to a thumbnail-like view (instead of tabular list view).
- Force HTTPS. If you are paranoid you can enable HTTPS - all API Requests will be encrypted.

- Erster Eindruck ---> Hervorragend (Icon ist ok ... suche noch ein Fanart)

[edit]Mein Context Menü ist viel größer

- Titelinformation hab ich doppelt (1x in DE und 1x in ENG öffnet aber das gleiche Dialogfenster)
- Songinformationen hab ich auch doppelt (1x in DE und 1x in ENG öffnet aber das gleiche Dialogfenster)
- Das normale "Zu den Favo´s Hinzufügen (xbmc seitig) fehlt

Das ist ein XBMC Core Bug - schalte mal den Datenbank-Modus aus.

djtoll: Lade das Add-on noch mal neu runter, ich habe einen Workaround eingebaut der das Verhalten behebt. Gleichzeitig arbeite ich an einem XBMC Core Pull-Request der das Problem an der Wurzel behebt.

Fanart fürs addon weiter oben hinzugefügt (Feedback erwünscht).

Eine Sektion GENRE gibt es nicht -> ist das umsetzbar auf der Ebene Discover und Search zu den "Browse Songs, Browse Artists, Browse Albums"

So eine Art Random Play/ Partymodus wäre noch cool

Ja, das mit dem Tags war bereits geplant, aber noch nicht fertig umgesetzt. Ich wollte eine optionale mehrfach-Auswahl bei den Genres, Musikinstrumenten und Themen. Das habe ich jetzt endlich fertig. Ich bin mal auf eure Kommentare gespannt

In kurz: Das mit den Tags funktioniert jetzt ähnlich wie mit den Sortiermöglichkeiten:
Im View "Discover/Tracks/" gibt es jetzt ein neues "Spezial-Item" [[Tags: 0]]. Wenn ihr das auswählt seht ihr alle Tags die zur Auswahl stehen, hier könnt ihr nun einen neuen Tag auswählen (oder abwählen falls schon gewählt). Anschließend gelangt ihr wieder zurück zur Song-Liste - nur diesmal eben gefiltert.
Damit lassen sich sehr komplexe Abfragen abbilden, z.B:
- Zeige alle Songs mit dem Instrument "Keyboard" und dem Genre "Rock" - sortiert nach "Downloads diese Woche"
Und das auch noch relativ einfach...

Problem ist, dass wohl laut den "Terms of Condition" nicht der Eindruck entstehen darf, dass die App offiziell von Jamendo kommt. kannst du das (übrigens alte) Jamendo Logo aus dem Fanart durch ein "JamBMC" ersetzen? Und mir vielleicht in dem Stil auch ein Icon bauen? (256x256px PNG, keine Transparenz).
Hast du das Fanart komplett selbst gebaut oder "es von irgendwo genommen und modifiziert"?

(-) Bin des öfteren durch zu schnelles klicken bis zum root des addon nach vorne navigiert, bei erneutem einstig ... da war dann die "Tag - Sortierung" futsch

(+) Möglichkeit so was auch abzuspeichern übers context ... aka Add/Del to Mixtape z.B. MySavedSortings (oder das plugin merkt sich die auch selbstständig aka die abgespielten Songs)

Zum ersten mal eine Addon.py Fehlermeldung bekommen (wollte in der liste (ein Album) einen anderen Song starten während noch einer lief ... Der gewählt song startete aber trotzdem).

Jo, ist mir auch schon mal passiert. Da kann ich aber erstmal relativ wenig gegen machen. Ich behalte es aber im Kopf. Das mit den gespeicherten Tag-Gruppen klingt interessant - das finde ich aber ein wenig überdimensioniert

Jupp, XBMC-Add-ons sind prinzipiell nicht thread-safe, sie können nicht richtig mit Gleichzeitigkeit umgehen. Irgendwas ist gleichzeitig mit etwas anderen passiert - das passiert nur sehr selten. In deinem Fall ist wahrscheinlich folgendes passiert. Lied 1 war zuende, XBMC fragt die Daten für Lied 2 an aber du hast die Wiedergabe von Lied 3 gestartet, Lied 2 und Lied 3 wollten sich gleichzeitig in die History schreiben. Einfach ignorieren, die Fehlermeldung wird noch unterdrückt sobald ich die "debugging Phase" abgeschlossen habe
